THCa isolate: one-year stability at room temperature
A one-year study of THCa isolate held at 25 °C dry storage — method, HPLC conditions, six replicates and measured variance from baseline.

In November 2021, THCa isolate assaying at 98.521% THCa and 99.973% total cannabinoids was packaged into one-gram jars and held for approximately one year at 25 °C in dry storage. In October 2022 the samples were re-tested for THCa, THC and total cannabinoid content.
The purpose was narrow and worth stating plainly: to establish whether the material is stable over a year under ordinary storage, and to have the evidence rather than the expectation.
What was measured
Six replicates were tested against the baseline. Mean degradation across them was 1.29% for THCa, 1.16% for total THC and 0.86% for total cannabinoids, with standard deviations of 0.0083, 0.0057 and 0.0050 respectively.
Mean variance in total cannabinoids over one year at 25 °C: under 1%.
Method
Three separate replicates were prepared per sample. 100–200 mg was weighed to four decimal places, dissolved in 15 ml of methanol, shaken to full dissolution, then centrifuged at 1500 rpm for five minutes at room temperature. A 20 µl aliquot of supernatant was diluted into 1490 µl of 80:20 methanol/water for injection.
Analysis was by HPLC on a C18 column (150 × 3.0 mm, 2.6 µm) at 40 °C, isocratic at 1 ml/min over an 8-minute runtime, with photodiode-array detection at 228 nm. Replicate results were held to a target of ±3% RSD.
Conclusion
THCa material packaged and stored in a dry, cool place is stable across a one-year period and fit for distribution and use in manufacturing. The value of stating it this way is that every part of the claim — the conditions, the interval, the method and the variance — travels with it, so a quality team can assess it against their own storage rather than take it on trust.
